Applications Due January 2, 2026!

Youth Programs

There will be a mandatory Overnight Selection January 9-10, 2026 for anyone applying for Village, Youth Meeting, Step Up, Fortnight and Leaders for the 2026 program year.  

For our 2026 youth programs, you will have to fill out the application online, send your digital reference forms to 3 people, pay $50 application fee and pay the $50 chapter membership fee through Paypal dfw@cisvusa.org

For Village, Youth Meeting and Step Up applicants:

  1. Youth Application –The program applicant and family need to fill out and submit an online Youth Program Application
  2. Youth Reference Form (3 references required) – This form needs to be sent to your 2 references for them to fill out. Please note that the reference should be a non-relative of the applicant. (Choose a teacher, grade level coordinator, coach, family friend, youth leader etc). After each reference fills out and submits the confidential online reference form, it will be automatically sent to our chapter. Copy and paste this link in an email to send to your references for them to fill out on your behalf: Youth Reference Form 
  3. Fill out the online Parent Volunteer Commitment Form here
  4. Pay Application Fee –can be paid through either PayPal dfw@cisvusa.org

For Fortnight applicants:

  1. Fortnight Application –The program applicant and family need to fill out and submit an online Fortnight Program Application
  2. Youth Reference Form (1 references required) – This form needs to be sent to your reference for them to fill out. Please note that the reference should be a non-relative of the applicant. (Choose a teacher, grade level coordinator, coach, family friend, youth leader etc). After each reference fills out and submits the confidential online reference form, it will be automatically sent to our chapter. For Leader Applicants:

Leaders must be 21+ and are non-paid volunteers. You must demonstrate a love for working with children, a belief in the philosophy of CISV, some travel experience, and the flexibility and maturity necessary to lead a delegation of energetic young people. Learn more about being a leader >

Junior Counselors use the same forms as leaders as the are considered to be leadership participants in the Village program.

A few things to know:

  • You will need to submit an application, references — and will be interviewed by our selection committee.
  • We will run background checks (Including criminal record).
  • It is required that you will be trained by CISV – local and national training prior to travel, and an online Safeguard training. Dates TBD

For Seminar Program – Applications due January 1, 2026

For applicants applying to a Seminar program, endorsements must be sent to the CISV USA Seminar Committee at BOTH of these two email address for any participant applying to a Seminar Program:

Applications not sent to both emails will be considered incomplete.
